Third Grade Wax Museum

Some very special guests visited GCA in February! Ohio’s own John Glenn came to share his story of space travel and public service. Amelia Earhart flew in for a visit. Pocahontas and Sacagawea described their brave journeys of the past. There was even a bit of entertainment from Dolly Parton! Many more figures were on display as the Third Graders presented a Live Wax Museum. The students researched their historical figures, actually transformed into their characters for this one day. Visitors were able to walk through the museum to look at the various wax figures and their display boards. Visitors could also press a button which brought each wax figure to life, where they shared information about their lives. This year, Milton Hershey’s visit made the museum a sweet one!
